Common questions about event seating software.

What kinds of events use seating software?

Trade shows with hosted buyer programs, conferences, networking events, gala dinners, corporate meetings, and award ceremonies.

Can attendees find their seat on their phone?

Attendees see the room layout on the published floor plan in your app, but a guest seat finder is not something Map D's help documentation describes. Attendees seated at a matchmaking round table get a confirmation email when round table emails are on.

Can seating be updated close to the event?

Yes. Publish the floor plan again after a change and the live map updates. On a round table you can seat or remove people, change the number of chairs, or delete the table, which cancels its seats with the normal cancellation emails.

Can we sell reserved seats?

Not as a documented feature. Map D sells admission tickets, add-on tickets and packages, but buyers choosing a specific seat at checkout is not something its help documentation describes.

How is event seating software priced?

Map D prices per event, not per attendee, seat, or booth, so a bigger event does not change the plan price. See the pricing page for current plans.
