Best booth sales software for trade show organizers
Six platforms ranked on how well they turn a floor plan into sold inventory — contracts, payments and renewals — rather than just a picture of the hall.
Booth sales software treats the floor plan as live inventory: availability, pricing, contracts and payment all run off the same map, and selling a booth updates it. The strongest options for organizers are Map D, which connects booth and sponsorship sales to exhibitor management and registration on one record and publishes per-event pricing; MapYourShow, whose MYS Sales Pro and Booth Sales modules serve very large shows; and 3e by EXPOCAD, which pairs exhibit and sponsorship sales with online contracts, invoices and payments.
Written by Map D. Map D is ranked first on this list and also publishes it, which is a conflict of interest — read it with that in mind. Claims about other platforms are limited to what those companies publish on their own sites, and each is sourced at the foot of the page. Last verified September 2026.

How this list is ranked
- Weighted on whether the floor plan is live sellable inventory — availability, contracts, payment and renewals off one map — rather than a published picture of the hall.
- Self-serve purchase counts heavily. An exhibitor who can pick and pay for space without a phone call is the difference between a sales team and an order desk.
- Whether a vendor publishes its rates counts, because it decides whether you can build a budget before entering a sales cycle.
- Map D publishes this list and ranks itself first, which is a conflict of interest. What makes that defensible is the weighting being stated rather than implied — and every entry here, including ours, carries its limitations in the same words and the same styling.

publish their rates on their own site. The rest route you to a demo or an RFP.

Publishing a rate does not make a product better. It decides whether you can size a budget before committing to a sales cycle, which is a different and more checkable question than which tool is best.

Map D’s rates are per event and listed on the pricing page. The dashed column has no height and no figure on purpose: where rates are not published we will not put a number on them, and where they are published we will not restate one that can change without notice.
| # | Vendor | Best for | Published pricing | Where it is weakest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Map D | Organizers whose event revenue comes off the show floor | Yes | No venue sourcing and no room-block contracting. Map D links attendees to your hotel booking page, but if your program is built around sourcing venues and holding room nights, this is the wrong tool and Cvent is not. |
| 2 | MapYourShow | Large, established trade shows with a mature exhibitor directory | No — quote or demo | Oriented to large shows with an established directory, which can be more platform than a smaller organizer team needs. |
| 3 | 3e by EXPOCAD | Shows with a CAD-first drafting workflow, and general service contractors | No — quote or demo | The CAD lineage is a real advantage for precise drafting and a real cost if nobody on your team works that way. |
| 4 | ExpoFP | Organizers who want a focused floor-plan product and a published price | Yes | The product is positioned around the floor plan and the exhibitor directory. Registration, badge printing and lead retrieval are not part of what the site markets. |
| 5 | A2Z Events | Associations already standardized on the Momentive Software stack | No — quote or demo | Booth e-commerce is not something the site describes. It markets floor plan management and revenue tooling, but self-serve booth purchase is not documented publicly. |
| 6 | Cvent | Corporate meeting programs, venue sourcing and enterprise procurement | No — quote or demo | The commercial model is oriented around registrations and the attendee experience, which is a different workflow from selling booth space. |

Map D
Organizers whose event revenue comes off the show floor
Strengths
- Floor plan, booth and sponsorship sales, exhibitor portal and reporting run off one event record, and ticketing, registration, badging and lead retrieval join that same record when your show adds them.
- Pricing is published: $1,500, $2,500 or $2,750 per event, listed on the pricing page, so a budget can be sized without a sales call.
- Per event rather than per seat — adding organizers or exhibitors does not change the plan price, and no booth, exhibitor or attendee cap is published on any plan.
- Roughly 800 organizers run about 6,000 events a year on Map D, which has processed more than $250M in booth and sponsorship sales and drawn over 800,000 booths.
Limitations
- No venue sourcing and no room-block contracting. Map D links attendees to your hotel booking page, but if your program is built around sourcing venues and holding room nights, this is the wrong tool and Cvent is not.
- No venue booking or building operations. Map D runs the show inside a venue, not the venue.
- If your event has no sellable floor — a pure conference, a training programme — most of what you would be paying for goes unused.
- Ticketing and registration, with badge printing and onsite check-in, and lead retrieval are add-ons quoted to your event portfolio rather than part of the published per-event plans.
- 2
MapYourShow
Large, established trade shows with a mature exhibitor directory
Strengths
- Floor Builder for the plan, with MYS Sales Pro and Booth Sales covering exhibit sales.
- An Exhibitor Resource Center where exhibitors manage listings, deadlines and promotions.
- MYS Smart Scan for lead retrieval, plus Conference Management and a mobile app.
- Long-standing presence on very large show floors, which is its own kind of evidence.
Limitations
- Rates are not published. The site routes you to a demo, so a like-for-like budget comparison needs a sales conversation first.
- Oriented to large shows with an established directory, which can be more platform than a smaller organizer team needs.
- 3
3e by EXPOCAD
Shows with a CAD-first drafting workflow, and general service contractors
Strengths
- A CAD heritage: EXPOCAD Contractor for drafting, with the 3e cloud platform layered over it.
- Exhibit sales and sponsorship sales tools, plus an exhibitor portal covering online contracts, invoices, payments and exhibitor badges.
- Explicitly serves general service contractors and venues as well as organizers, which matters if your GSC is already working in EXPOCAD.
Limitations
- Rates are not published; the site asks you to schedule a demo or submit an RFP.
- The CAD lineage is a real advantage for precise drafting and a real cost if nobody on your team works that way.
- 4
ExpoFP
Organizers who want a focused floor-plan product and a published price
Strengths
- A dedicated floor-plan builder, named FP Designer, with an Organizer Portal for managing the plan.
- Exhibitors see live availability and can reserve or purchase space by credit card directly on the map.
- Exhibitors fill in their own logo, description and contacts through a personal auto-login link.
- Rates are published on its own pricing page, with a free trial — unusual in this category and worth crediting.
Limitations
- The product is positioned around the floor plan and the exhibitor directory. Registration, badge printing and lead retrieval are not part of what the site markets.
- Because the floor plan is the product rather than one view of an event record, connecting it to registration and attendee data means running and reconciling another system.
- 5
A2Z Events
Associations already standardized on the Momentive Software stack
Strengths
- Broad module list: Floor Plan Management, Exhibitor Management, Sponsorship Management, Event Registration Software, Badge Printing & Check-In, Lead Retrieval and Attendee Matchmaking.
- Part of Momentive Software's portfolio alongside its association management systems, which is the strongest reason to pick it.
Limitations
- Rates are not published; the site asks you to book a demo.
- Booth e-commerce is not something the site describes. It markets floor plan management and revenue tooling, but self-serve booth purchase is not documented publicly.
- The pull is the surrounding AMS ecosystem. If you do not use the rest of it, that advantage does not apply to you.
- 6
Cvent
Corporate meeting programs, venue sourcing and enterprise procurement
Strengths
- Breadth across the full corporate meetings lifecycle rather than the show floor specifically.
- Venue sourcing and hotel room-block management, which most event platforms do not attempt at all.
- Enterprise requirements — security review, SSO, global support and the compliance paperwork large organizations ask for.
Limitations
- Rates are not published; the pricing page asks you to request a quote.
- The commercial model is oriented around registrations and the attendee experience, which is a different workflow from selling booth space.
When another tool on this list is the better buy
Named, not hedged. If one of these describes your show, the vendor beside it is the honest answer and Map D is not.
- ExpoFPYou only want booths sold off a map and nothing else around it, at a price you can read today. ExpoFP does that and publishes its rates.
- MapYourShowYour show is very large with an established exhibitor directory and an existing MapYourShow deployment that your exhibitors already know how to use.
- 3e by EXPOCADYour general service contractor drafts in EXPOCAD and the contracting workflow already runs through them.
- A2Z EventsYour association already runs on Momentive Software and keeping events inside that stack matters more than the booth-selling workflow itself.
Stop reading about it. Build one.
Upload the floor plan you already have and place your booths on it yourself, in Map D’s editor. Free to build, no contract, and nothing to install.
“I am really excited about this. The staff met with me this morning and we all LOVE the platform. People are already filling out their booths.”
Frequently asked questions
What counts as booth sales software?
Floor plan software draws and publishes the map. Booth sales software makes that map the inventory: availability is live, pricing and premiums are attached to positions, and an exhibitor selecting a booth generates a contract and takes payment. Most products here do some of both, so the question to ask is whether selling is what the plan is for or a feature attached to it.
Do these platforms take a cut of booth sales?
Map D charges no transaction fee on booth sales. You pay your payment gateway's standard rates — Stripe, Authorize.Net or Square — and nothing further to Map D. Pricing is per event, at $1,500, $2,500 or $2,750, so a bigger floor or more exhibitors does not raise what the platform costs. Other vendors on this list do not publish their rates, so their commercial terms are a question for their sales teams.
Which of these let exhibitors buy booths themselves?
Self-serve purchase is documented by both Map D and ExpoFP: exhibitors pick space on a live map and pay by card. MapYourShow markets MYS Sales Pro and Booth Sales, and 3e by EXPOCAD markets online contracting with invoices and payments. A2Z Events markets floor plan management and revenue tooling but does not describe self-serve booth e-commerce on its site, which is worth confirming with them directly if that is what you need.
Is booth selling included in Map D's entry plan?
Yes. Online booth sales starts at the Growth plan, $2,500 per event. The interactive floor plan itself is included on all three plans, including Starter at $1,500, so you can draw and publish a plan on the entry tier and add selling later.
